Dear Families and Players,
I do not know where to start, my head is still BUZZING. Holy Macaroni. ๐ I would like to take this second to thank Ray, David, Rich, Benjo, Mirza, Scott and Scout for amazing work. Furthermore, the parents who watch everyone elseโs kids in the most benevolent and fostering ways. We are growing into a wonderful, diverse, supportive, and understanding community. All of us at VTP truly appreciate all that is happening right at our little Patch of Passion. The atmosphere inspires us to continue volunteering and growing this program.
Here are a few things:
- These kids are amazing. It is not easy to navigate emotionally through a gigantic group of kids, and 60,000 fans in the stands.
- We are actively seeking ways to make the groups more effective in terms of field space. The need is evident.
- One of the family members who is a licensed electrician will help us set up lighting at the Patch of Passion. He will donate his time and cables, and we will purchase the lights. We love our Patch of Passion. POP. Only one O please. ๐ โ๏ธ๐ฉ
- I am working with Irena (photographer and our marketing director) to set a date for photos. Stay tuned.
- We have formed a partnership with ECHO center at the waterfront. October 27th will be SOCCER AND SCIENCE DAY AT ECHO! Admission will be free for players, I guess siblings as well ๐, and the parents! ๐ Yay. If we donโt bring the house down, we havenโt done anything. Just kidding. I will have a facebook event and please RSVP as soon as possible so that I can tell them how many are coming. More details to follow in an exclusive email.
If you have feedback or comments, please email me or leave a facebook review, or have your kid paint us a story. ๐ We always love to hear what we do right, and also what could improve. In the world on non-profits and fundraising there are never enough of testimonials. ๐
Sincerely,
VTP TEAM
